Mylands is also a paint partnership of The National Portrait Gallery, giving the gallery free paint to use for their exhibitions. For example, the ‘Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens’ and ‘Paul McCartney Photographs, 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm’.
In February, the NPG put on an exhibition for The Face Magazine called, ‘The Face Magazine: Cultural Shift’. They used an array of Mylands paints and we were given free tickets to got to go to a private viewing of the exhibition with all of the NPG business partners. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to use this exhibition for a campaign due to Mylands not securing the rights to the pictures. I felt that this was a wasted opportunity but still was exciting to witness and experience in terms of viewing the gallery.
